Terms of Use

1. Who we are, and what these terms cover

VibeType is built and run by Paprik Technologies Private Limited, G1106, Purva Fountainsquare, Bangalore, Karnataka 560037, India (“we”, “us”). These terms cover VibeType for Mac, VibeType for iPhone and its keyboard, VibeType for Android and its keyboard, our website, and the service behind them (together, “VibeType”). By using VibeType you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.

How we handle your data is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

2. Your account

You need an account to use some or all of VibeType, and one account covers all our apps. Keep your sign-in secure: you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 to use VibeType, or older where the law where you live requires it.

3. Your content

What you dictate, and the text VibeType writes for you, are yours. We claim no ownership of them. You give us permission to process them only as far as we need to provide VibeType to you. We do not keep them, except your writing profile as the privacy policy describes, and we do not use them to train AI models. What the services we rely on may do with them is in the privacy policy.

You are responsible for what you dictate and send, including having the right to record anyone else who is speaking.

4. Using VibeType

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use VibeType for your own dictation and writing, under these terms. You agree not to:

• use it through scripts, bots or other automated means, or in a way meant to overload or disrupt it;
• resell, rent or share access to your account or your plan;
• get around a usage limit, for example by making extra accounts;
• copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile the apps, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms;
• use it for anything unlawful, to harm or harass anyone, or to record people without the consent the law requires.

VibeType, its apps and its design belong to us. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond this licence.

5. Plans, limits and fair use

VibeType has a free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes, its usage limits and its price are shown in the apps and on our pricing page, and they are the ones that apply to you. We may change them over time; section 9 says what that means for a plan you have already paid for.

Plans are for one person's own use. A plan described as unlimited is subject to fair use: we may apply a limit to keep VibeType fair and running for everyone, and the app will tell you when one applies. If you bought a plan we no longer sell, you keep what it included for as long as it runs, under these terms.

Any rewards for inviting friends are as described in the app when you earn them.

6. Paying, renewing and cancelling

• Before you pay, the app shows the price, what the plan includes and how often you will be charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, and you are charged for the next one, until you cancel. A one-time purchase does not renew.
• Cancelling stops the next charge. Your plan stays until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can cancel in the app, or in the store you bought through. Deleting your account stops a subscription bought on the Mac or through Google Play first. It does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple; only Apple can.
• Refunds are covered in section 7.
• Taxes are shown or added at checkout as the law and the payment provider require. You are responsible for any that apply to your purchase.

7. Cancellation and refunds

• Cancelling on the Mac. In VibeType for Mac, open Account and choose Cancel subscription. Or write to us on WhatsApp or by email, from the address you bought with, and we will cancel it. Our details are on the contact page.
• Cancelling on the iPhone. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Or in VibeType, open Account and billing, then Manage subscription.
• Cancelling on Android. Open Google Play, then Payments and subscriptions. Or in VibeType, open Account and billing, then Manage subscription.
• After you cancel, nothing further is charged, and your plan stays until the end of the period already paid for.
• Payments for VibeType for Mac are not refunded. That covers subscriptions, their renewals, and one-time purchases such as lifetime, whether you paid through Razorpay or Dodo Payments. Where a provider is the seller of record, it processes any refund that is due. Our earlier Mac plans, including those paid for in rupees, were all sold through Dodo Payments, so this covers them too.
• Anything bought on the iPhone is refunded by Apple, under Apple's rules rather than ours. Ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Anything bought on Android is refunded under Google Play's refund policies. Ask for a refund from your Google Play order history.

Nothing in this section limits a right to a refund that the law where you live gives you. For a question about a charge, contact us.

8. Delivery

VibeType is software. Nothing is shipped, and there is no shipping charge. A plan is delivered to your VibeType account within a minute of payment, and shows in the app.

The apps themselves are downloads: VibeType for Mac from the download page, VibeType for iPhone from the App Store, and VibeType for Android from Google Play. If your plan has not appeared within an hour of paying, contact us with the email address you paid with.

9. Changes to prices and plans

We may change our prices and what our plans include. If a change affects a subscription you hold, we will tell you before it applies to you, as the store you bought through requires, and you can cancel before it does. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

10. Where you buy

Paid plans are sold through the payment provider shown when you buy. The provider's own terms also apply to the payment.

• Through the App Store, your purchase is also governed by Apple's terms and Apple's standard licence agreement for apps. These terms add to that agreement and do not take away from it. Apple is not responsible for VibeType or for supporting it; we are.
• Through Google Play, your purchase is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.
• Where a provider is the seller of record (the merchant of record), such as Dodo Payments, that provider is the business that charges you and handles your tax.

11. Services VibeType relies on

VibeType uses other companies' services to work, such as speech recognition, AI models and payment providers. They are listed in the privacy policy. If one of them is unavailable, parts of VibeType may be too. If you connect your own AI provider, your use of it is governed by your agreement with that provider.

12. Changes to VibeType

We keep improving VibeType, so features will change. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop offering VibeType altogether. If we stop, we will tell you in advance where we can. Features marked as beta or preview are early and may change or go away.

13. Accuracy, and no warranty

Speech recognition and AI writing can get things wrong. Check what VibeType writes before you send or rely on it, especially when it matters. VibeType does not give medical, legal or financial advice, and nothing it writes is a diagnosis.

VibeType is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or free of errors.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of VibeType, including lost data, lost profits or messages sent with mistakes in them. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or takes away a right you have as a consumer.

15. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law in using VibeType, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of it, to the extent the law allows.

16. Ending your account

You can stop using VibeType and delete your account at any time. What deleting removes is in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts VibeType or other people at risk, and we will tell you first where we can.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and if a change matters to how you use VibeType or what you pay, we will tell you before it applies. Using VibeType after that means you accept the new terms.

18. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem with VibeType, contact us first so we can try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, have jurisdiction. If you use VibeType as a consumer, you also keep any protection the law where you live gives you.

19. General

These terms, with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about VibeType. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours to a business that takes over VibeType. If we do not enforce a part of them straight away, we have not given it up.
